Hong Kong To Host America's Cup Class Sailing

Two weeks of America's Cup-class yacht racing will be staged at Hong Kong's Victoria Harbour in 2010, after the government awarded a funding grant.

The Louis Vuitton World Series was one of only two major sporting events - along with the Hong Kong Tennis Classic - to receive grant funds from the government for next year, and was made following an application from the Royal Hong Kong Yacht Club.
The event will bring world-class sailing crews to compete in a series of races across two weeks in November 2010. The cots of staging the series is estimated at around HKD45m
