Li Na Reaches U.S. Open 4th Round

Chinese female tennis player Li Na breezed through to the fourth round of the U.S. Open at Flushing Meadow on Friday, after defeating Russia's Maria Kirilenko in straight sets, 6-4, 6-2.

The 18th seed will next play Italy's Francesca Schiavone for a place in the quarter finals, which would be Li's best performance at Flushing Meadow, having reached the fourth round of both the 2006 and 2008 tournaments.

Twenty-seven year old Li missed much of the 2008 season with a knee injury. She is currently ranked 19th in the world.
